Body of self-proclaimed Romanian 'King of all Gypsies' Florin Cioaba leavesTurkey for Romania after he died in Turkey's Antalya region following a heart attack. ANTALYA, TURKEY (AUGUST 20, 2013) (DHA) - The body of the man proclaimed within Romania's Roma community as the "King of all Gypsies", Florin Cioaba, left a local morgue to be transported toBucharest on Tuesday (August 20). According to family members, Cioaba was on his way back from holidays when he suffered a stroke, a heart attack followed when he was in hospital. Family members gathered in front of the Antalya morgue to overlook the transport of Cioaba's body. His son Dorin, was weeping surrounded by friends and family. "In Romania there were a few days of holidays and we couldn't take the health assurance," Dorin Cioaba said about the delay in transporting his father's body toRomania. "As soon as we have taken it (health insurance), we handed it to the hospital and they fulfilled all the formalities. The body of my father will be taken on the plane in the shortest possible time," he added. A funeral is planned for Friday (August 23) in Cioaba's home town Sibiu. |
