British Prime Minister David Cameron returns to Downing Street as he considers Britain's response to an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria.

LONDON, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (AUGUST 27, 2013) (UK POOL) -  British Prime Minister David Cameron arrived back at Downing Street on Tuesday (August 27) having cut short his summer holiday to discuss possible action against Syria following a suspected chemical weapons attack in the country.

Cameron was joined at Downing Street by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Foreign Secretary William Hague.

A spokesman later announced that Cameron is recalling members of Britain's lower house of parliament from their summer break to discuss Syria on Thursday (August 29).

Hundreds of people died in Damascus suburbs last week (Wednesday, August 21) in what appears to have been a chemical weapons attack.
