Russia' s president says a security lapse is to blame for the deadly bomb attack on the country's busiest airport.
RUSSIA-BLAST - This was the moment a suspected suicide bomber brought death and injury to Moscow's biggest airport.

At least 35 people died in the blast.

Dozens more were wounded at Domodedovo Airport.

A day after Monday's bombing people began laying floral tributes at the scene.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is blaming a security lapse for allowing the attack to happen.

The airport's press secretary insists security requirements were met.

Domodedovo Airport Press Secretary Elena Galanina saying):

"We do not bear responsibility for the explosion because, I repeat, we have fulfilled all the demands of aviation security for which we are responsible. We are the airport, we deal with aviation and are fully responsible for aviation security. We have fulfilled all the norms and we act in accordance with the law."

The airport remained open through the night despite the bloodshed inside the arrivals hall.

Cleaners tidied up the scene.

Passengers appeared defiant.

Sergei, passenger, saying):

"Actually it's not that terrible. Flights weren't cancelled. Like they say, lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice. There is heightened security, not like they promised but still, I hope it's better."

Pavel, passenger, saying:

"What happened yesterday, we won't forget. But actually I'm not afraid."

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
