A man threatening to throw himself from a high rise block is hauled to safety in a dramatic rescue operation.
CHINA-SUICIDE BID - He's only 23 but this man in eastern China decided he didn't want to live any longer.

He clings precariously to the railings around the roof of the 13-storey hospital in Ningbo City.

Efforts by rescue workers, firefighters and police to coax him back from the brink failed to convince him.

Just as he seems about to plunge to his certain death the rescue teams manage to grab him.

State media said the man was not co-operative as the drama unfolded and the rescuers struggled to get him back up to the safety of the roof.

The whole ordeal, captured on camera by state broadcaster CCTV, went on for two long hours.

State media said the young man had tried to kill himself after an argument with his girlfriend.
