Helicopter Crashes Into Glasgow Pub

A helicopter crashes into a Glasgow pub causing multiple casualties, with dozens of fire officers as well as police on site, social media stills show.

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (NOVEMBER 29, 2013) (SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE) -  A police helicopter crashed into a pub in Glasgow on Friday (November 29), stills uploaded on social media showed.

Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond said people should prepare for the likelihood of fatalities given the "scale of the fatalities". Salmond added that a full rescue operation was under way.

BBC News quoted Member of Parliament Jim Murphy as saying it was a well established Glasgow pub.

The BBC named the pub as the Clutha Vaults in Stockwell Street.

Murphy, a Labour frontbench MP who was in the area at the time, said members of the public formed a human chain to help get people out of the building.
