With a week to go before U.S. President Barack Obama is sworn in for his second term as president, a dress rehearsal for Inauguration Day gets underway at the U.S. Capitol.

WASHINGTON D.C., UNITED STATES (JANUARY 13, 2013) (NBC) -  The sounds of drums and marching bands brought alive an otherwise foggy Sunday morning (January 13) in Washington D.C. as a full dress rehearsal for Inauguration got underway at the U.S. Capitol. The morning's rehearsal included a dry run of the Capitol Departure Ceremony, rendering of honors, the Inaugural parade along Pennsylvania Avenue and the pass in review of troops.

Stand-ins for U.S. President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice PresidentJoe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden could be seen walking down the steps of theCapitol building before making their way to the White House reviewing stand.

The official Inauguration Day is January 20th. As that date falls on a Sunday this year, Obama will take the official oath of office at a private ceremony and then attend the public swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol a day later on Monday, January 21, 2013.
