Iran fires short-range missile testing

Iran test fires missile with a range of about 180 miles, the state Islamic Republic News Agency reported on Tuesday. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

IRAN MISSILE TEST - Iranian TV announces that Tehran has successfully test fired a new short range missile with a guidance system it plans to install missiles in all future.


The Fateh 110 has a range of about 180 miles, meaning it would only be able to strike Iran's immediate neighbors.


The announcement follows mounting tension over Iran's nuclear facilities. The Islamic Republic says they are geared towards Solely electricity production, while Western countries believe they are Aimed at developing an atomic bomb.
