Flood warnings issued after woman killed in Kew

Kew Gardens is closed after a woman is killed by a falling tree during heavy rain and wind speeds of almost 30 miles per hour.

SOMERSET, ENGLAND, UK (SEPTEMBER 24, 2012) (ITN) - Flood warnings were issued in Somerset in the UK on Monday (Septemeber 24) after the country was hit by 24 hours of heavy rainfall.

A woman was killed by a falling tree branch in Kew Gardens, London, on Sunday (September 23) during torrential rain and gusts of wind of up to 30 miles-per-hour.

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew confirmed the fatality in a statement.

Stormy weather has continued to lash parts of Britain on Monday evening.
