REDBANK, AUSTRALIA (MAY 12, 2013) (NINE NETWORK) - The implosion of a four thousand tonnes silo in Redbank, Australia didn't quite go to plan on Sunday (May 12).
A demolition team set off 100 kilograms (220.5 pounds) of explosives, but it wasn't enough to completely destroy the structure.The building began to collapse, but got stuck.
For forty minutes the silo resembled Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Finally, the demolition teams used two heavy machinery excavators to push the silo the rest of the way over.
