Santa takes a break from air travel to go water skiing at the National Harbor in Maryland.
OXON HILL, MARYLAND, UNITED STATES (DECEMBER 24, 2012) (REUTERS) - Santa Claus took a break from his busy flying schedule to put on a pair of skis and hit the water at the National Harbor in Maryland, just outside of Washington D.C. on Tuesday (December 24).
No stranger to the cold, the North Pole native braved dipping temperatures and freezing winds as he took a round on his skis, showing delighted crowds he was equally comfortable in the air and on the water.Santa's reindeer, however, were less proficient, as some took a tumble in the water
Joining Santa in his antics were Frosty the snowman, the Flying Elves and a jet-skiing Grinch.
This is the 28th anniversary of what has become a tradition in the Washington D.C. area.
Following his stint on the water, Santa is expected to return to what he does best - delivering gifts and climbing down sooty chimneys.
