A former neighbourhood watch volunteer charged with killing teenager Trayvon Martin in the U.S. is freed on bail.
USA-SHOOTING SUSPECT BAILED - The man whose shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida sparked a wave of protests across the U.S. is freed from prison on bail.
George Zimmerman, whom police originally refused to arrest because he claimed self-defence, posted bail of 150, 000 dollars.
The former neighbourhood watch volunteer has to wear an electronic tag and observe a dusk-to-dawn curfew.
There are also other conditions including a ban on firearm possession.
Zimmerman's whereabouts on bail are expected to remain a closely-guarded secret because of fears for his safety.
