R Reports - Supporters of presidential contender Raila Odinga rally outside the country'sSupreme Court in Nairobi.
On Saturday, he contested Kenya's heated elections after narrowly losing to rivalUhuru Kenyatta.
Odinga, currently the country's prime minister, claims the electoral commission inflated voter registration numbers and went ahead with its high-tech electronic voting system, knowing it would fail.
KENYA'S OUTGOING PRIME MINISTER AND DEFEATED PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE RAILA ODINGA:"In many polling stations, the valid votes cast exceeded the number of registered voters. In specific instances, the results in form 36 disclosed by IEBC were materially different from the results that were posted in the final tally of the presidential results."
The petition will be the first major test for the country's Supreme Court and constitution, ratified to prevent tribal feuds that killed 1,200 in 2007.
Others are watching to see if Kenya can maintain its reputation as a strong democracy.
The March 4 polls were largely peaceful, with Kenyatta and the electoral commission saying the vote was free and fair.
But Odinga supporters believe that they can force a mandatory, second round runoff through the courts due to Kenyatta's narrow victory.
