White House offices reopened after brief evacuation. No indication of danger to President Barack Obama.
WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES (MAY 11, 2013) (RESTRICTED POOL) - The White House offices in the West Wing were evacuated briefly on Saturday (May 11) after smoke was detected in the building, but staff were allowed to return and there was no indication of danger to President Barack Obama, according to reports.
Fire trucks were at the scene and the Secret Service had investigated the source of the smoke.
The president's office and top staff offices are located in the West Wing adjacent to the main White House.
