The White House releases photos that show U.S. President Barack Obama and his national security team being briefed on the Osama bin Laden operation in the White House Situation Room.
One of the photos shows Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and others staring intently at something across the room.
The official caption reads, "President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, along with members of the national security team, receive an update on the mission against Osama bin Laden in the Situation Room of the White House, May 1, 2011. Please note: a classified document seen in this photograph has been obscured."
Another photo shows Obama at the head of the conference room table as his national security team stands to leave at the end of a briefing.
U. S. special forces killed bin Laden and buried his body in the sea on Sunday.
