Chinese state media reports a dog with math skills has been found.
YIXING CITY, JIANGSU PROVINCE, CHINA (DECEMBER 6, 2012) (CCTV0 - A man in eastern Jiangsu province has taught his dog to add, subtract, multiply and divide, according to Chinese state television.
CCTV said owner Lu Zesheng asks the two year-old dog named Potato arithmetic questions and the dog replies through barking."How many digits does 10 million have?" asks Lu.
Potato barks eight times, which, according to Lu, means there are eight digits.
To the trickier question of "How much is 3.44 plus 3.56?"
Potato barks seven times.
CCTV said the dog also has a good memory.
"What are the ten digits of the side number of China's first aircraft carrier?" Lu asks.
Potato replies with just one bark which according to Lu is means it's in the tens. When Lu asks "What is the single digit?" Potato barks six times.
"So it's 16," says Lu.
CCTV says the dog has impressed neighbors by memorizing mobile phone numbers and even people's ages.
But arithmetic genius or not, at the end of the day, Potato is still a dog -- he enjoys walks, and of course, the occasional treat.
