Spanish police apprehend one of Britain's most wanted fugitives just north of the popular holiday resort town of Benidorn on the Costa Blanca.
CALPE, SPAIN (MAY 10, 2013) (POLICE) - A British fugitive was arrested poolside in the resort town of Calpe on Friday (May 10) after Spanish police raided a luxury villa in the popular tourist region of the Costa Blanca.
Police identified the man as 31-year-old Andrew Terence Moran, one of the UK's most wanted criminals.
Moran was sought by British police for the armed robbery of a Royal Mail van carrying 25,000 British pounds (38,000 US dollars).Moran made a dramatic escape while on trial, leaping from the dock and assaulting a security guard during his trial in 2009.
The arrest in Calpe was a joint operation between Spanish and British police.
