Marking the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, webcam company EarthCam has released a timelapse video showing the nine year contruction of the new World Trade Center in lower Manhattan.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (OCTOBER 2004 - SEPTEMBER 2013) (EARTHCAM) - The two-minute timelapse movie shows the construction of the 2.6-million-square-foot One World Trade Center from October 2004 to September 2013.
According to Earthcam, the webcam company that produced the video, the timelapse is made up of hundreds of thousands of images captured during the contruction of the tower from 35 different angles with high definition megapixel imagery.Included in the timelapse are archives from EarthCam's MegapixelCam across the Hudson River in Liberty State Park, which offer an all-encompassing view of the evolving city skyline.
One WTC is the tallest building int he United Sates standing at 1,776 feet (541 metres).
EarthCam, which specializes in delivering real-time webcam content for various applications including construction, installed the webcams in lower Mahattan just days after the attacks on September 11th.
