ELLIOT LAKE, ONTARIO, CANADA (JUNE 23, 2012) (CTV) - Rescue workers were at the scene of a roof collapse at a northern Ontario shopping mall on Saturday (June 23).
Part of the roof of the Algo Centre Mall in Elliot Lake collapsed just after 1420EST(1820GMT), local police said in a news release.
Police released no information on any injuries.
The portion of the roof that caved in reportedly served as a parking area for customers and mall staff.
Elliot Lake Mayor Rick Hamilton declared a state of local emergency shortly after the incident.
