Drug gangs in Brazil have ‘put out a contract’ on a Rio de Janeiro police sniffer dog after it was responsible for a couple of big drug finds. Boss, a five-year-old Labrador, is the top dog of Rio narcotics department’s 68 sniffer dogs after finding 400kg hidden behind a wall during a raid on a Rio slum. Boss also found a haul concealed near a sewer drain. Police recently intercepted communications between drug gangs to ‘target brownie’ which was interpreted as a threat on Boss’ life. Police said in future operations Boss will be protected by as many as nine officers during operations
