Whales migrating north from the Antarctic to warm waters off Queensland put on a show in waters off Sydney
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (MAY 31, 2013) (NINE NETWORK) - Whale watchers off Australia's Sydney were treated to a show by the sea mammals migrating north from the Antarctic to warm waters off Queensland on Friday (May 31).
The official whale watching season begins at the end of May and goes through to November when up to 20,000 whales will head north on their annual migration.The whales breached the crests of waves and dived into deeper waters, delighting whale watchers by blowing spray as they cruised past Sydney's coastline.
