Former ANC military wing, Umkhonto we Sizwe, pay tribute to Nelson Mandela at the Pretoria Heart Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA (JUNE 30, 2013) (REUTERS) - Former ANC military wing, Umkhonto we Sizwe (Spear of the Nation) paid tribute to former President Nelson Mandela at the Pretoria Heart Hospital on Sunday (June 30) where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The military wing carried a portrait of Mandela wearing his MK uniform. The Chairperson of the former ANC armed wing, Kebby Maphatsoe told the media they came to wish Madiba well so he could celebrate his 95th birthday next month."We are here as the former members of Umkhonto We Sizwe representing all leaders of the Umkhonto We Sizwe nationally to come and wish him well and a speedy recovery," he said.
Mandela has been at the Mediclinic Heart Hospital for over three weeks for treatment for a recurring lung infection.
