Window washers rescued from broken platform 45 stories above New York.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (JUNE 12, 2013) (NBC) - Firefighters rescued two window washers who were trapped on a scaffold outside the 45th floor of a New York skyscraper on Wednesday (June 12).
The two-person window washing crew was working outside the Hearst Tower inMidtown Manhattan when their suspended platform got stuck.Firefighters cut out a window and pulled the men inside to safety.
The fire department decided cutting the window was safer than hoisting the men to the roof.
