Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov accuses Ukrainian opposition of inciting violence and using racist and anti-semitic slogans.
MUNICH, GERMANY (FEBRUARY 1, 2014) (BR POOL) - The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he does not agree with the stand of large parts of the international community, for condemning the violence in Ukraine but not critising the seizure of government buildings.
"Why don't we condemn those who seize and hold government buildings, attack the police, torch the police?," he said at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday (February 1).He also accused the Ukrainian opposition of using "racist and anti-semitic and Nazi slogans."
Lavrov addressed the 50th Munich Security Conference on Saturday and held several meetings with foreign counterparts.
