Feminist group Femen gets pushed around on the side of a traditionalist Catholics protest against same-sex marriage in Paris.
PARIS, FRANCE (NOVEMBER 18, 2012) (BFMTV) - Members of the Paris-based feminist group FEMEN staged a topless demonstration on the side of an anti-gay rally by traditionalist Catholics on Sunday (November 18), as they marched against plans by the French government to legalise same-sex marriage.
FEMEN members were shoved by men wearing yellow jackets, thought to be part of the demonstration, some of whom tried to punch them.
The march, staged by the Civitas Institute, a group close to French fundamentalist Catholics, embarked on a short march from the French Family Ministry to the French National Assembly.
Past Femen protests have targeted sex tourism in the Ukraine, gender inequality in theMiddle East, sexual harassment of university students, and international beauty contests.
