PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA (JUNE 30, 2013) (REUTERS) - Winnie Madikizela-Mandela visited her former husband Nelson Mandelain hospital in Pretoria on Sunday (June 30).
Mandela's condition remains "critical but stable" and the government hopes he will be out of hospital soon, South Africn President Jacob Zuma said on Saturday (June 29).The faltering health of the first black president of South Africa, a revered symbol of racial reconciliation, has drawn world attention since the 94-year-old was rushed to hospital with a recurring lung infection about three weeks ago.
Earlier this week, the government reported Mandela's frail condition had turned critical, but since Thursday President Jacob Zuma has reported that his health is improving.
