Prince Harry joins U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House as the two assist children of military families to create Mother's Day cards.
WASHINGTON, D.C., UNITED STATES (MAY 9, 2013) (RESTRICTED POOL) - Prince Harry joined U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden at theWhite House on Thursday (May 9) to assist children in constructing greeting cards for Mother's Day.
The children were all from families of U.S. military members.Prince Harry chatted in the White House East Room with the youngsters and helped them with the flowers and art supplies to make the cards.
Mother's Day is celebrated in the United States on Sunday, May 12.
Thursday was the first day of a week long visit for the 28-year-old prince. His visit is expected to promote the United Kingdom, raise money for charity and raise awareness for wounded veterans.
