Family visits Nelson Mandela as the ailing former president spends a fifth day at theMediclinic Heart Hospital where he is being treated for a recurring lung infection.
PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA (JUNE 12, 2013) (REUTERS) - Nelson Mandela's family visited the ailing former South African President at the Mediclinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria on Wednesday (June 12).
His ex-wife Winnie and daughter Makaziwe Mandela were both seen arriving at hospital.President Jacob Zuma said earlier on Wednesday at a session in parliament, that Mandela was "responding better to treatment" for a lung infection.
Zuma told parliament that he was happy with the progress being made by the 94-year-old anti-apartheid leader after a "difficult few days".
