Czech doctors safely deliver quintuplets in Prague, a first for the country.
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC (JUNE 2, 2013) (UPMD) - Doctors at the Institute for the Care of Mother and Child (UPMD) in the Czech capital Prague carried out a major Caesarean operation on Sunday (June 2) to deliver four boys and one girl to one mother.
Mother Alexandra Kinova delivered her babies at 7am local time with the help of 40 specialists in attendance making it first recorded quintuplet delivery in Czech history.Experts planned the operation for one month, according to the UPMD press office. The first baby to be delivered was Deniel who was followed by Michael, Alex, the girl Tereza and, finally, Martin.
Doctor Zbynek Stranak led the team of doctors who delivered the five babies and said on Sunday the children were all in a stable condition.
The quintuplets were naturally conceived.
