Syria denies any involvement in Saturday's deadly car bombs - blames Turkish government
DAMASCUS, SYRIA (MAY 12, 2013) (SYRIAN TV) - Syria denied Turkish accusations on Sunday (May 12) that it had a hand in the twin car bombings in the Turkish border town of Reyhanli on Saturday.
Syrian Information Minister Omran Zubi appeared on State TV blaming the Turkish government for the attacks."This government (Turkish government) should take full responsibility for what happened. And if Turkey, people and state, wanted to defend itself, it should ask Erdogan to resign and leave the government because they are responsible for what happened in Syria and Turkey. We say everything that happened in Syria is the Turkish government's responsibility and others of course. What happened yesterday is the Turkish government's responsibility. That is why Recep Tayyip Erdogan I ask him to step down as a murderer," he said.
At least 46 people were killed in the blasts.
