People come together from all faiths to remember three young men killed during rioting in Britain's second city. Lily Grimes reports.
UK-BIRMINGHAM VIGIL- Mourners in Birmingham remember three young men killed during the riots.
They were run over by a car as they tried to protect their area from looters overnight Tuesday.
Various faiths came together on Wednesday to hold a candlelight vigil.
DEMONSTRATION ORGANISER ANSAR MAJID, SAYING:"Because we're all one, we live in England, United Kingdom and we're Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jews. We're all one; black people, white people. We don't want no one hurt."
Calm has returned to the streets but there's still a police presence.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Many are blaming poor policing for the orgy of riots and looting that swept the city.
LOCAL RESIDENT NASAR AHMED, SAYING:
"We're peaceful people, just here for a peaceful demonstration and what happened shouldn't of happened. If the police had controlled it from day one this would never have happened."
As the vigil came to an end the city fell silent for the first time since Sunday.
