Detectives investigating an exploding cash machine and subsequent theft at a petrol station in Britain have issued CCTV footage of the incident.
WEYHILL, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (MARCH 31, 2013) (POLICE HANDOUT) - British police have released security camera footage of the moment thieves exploded a cash machine at a petrol station forecourt in the early hours of Sunday (March 31) morning.
Officers were called after residents in Weyhill in southern England reported a loud bang. On arrival, they found the ATM blown apart.The CCTV footage shows the moment of impact and the destruction caused at the Texaco forecourt.
It also shows cash cascading to the ground in the moments after the blast.
Detectives are following up a number of enquiries and continue to appeal for any information from the public.
Officers say the attack is similar to raids on cash machines in mainland Europe.
