Kenya (Next Media Animation) - Pilotless drone aircraft will be used to track wildlife and fight poachers in wildlife reserves around the world. Park rangers in Kenya plan to introduce drones to help monitor endangered animals over vast expanses of park land.
The drones will be day and night capable and will help rangers combat poaching. Conservationists will also be able to tag animals with RFID chips, which communicate by radio with drones orbiting overhead.
By constantly monitoring the animals’ whereabouts, scientists hope the drones will increase their understanding of animal behavior.SOURCES:
