R Reports - Loved ones of those shot in the New Orleans Mother's Day parade shooting wait outside city hospitals for good news.
Nineteen people including two young children were injured. The children were just grazed by the bullets and are in good condition.
A doctor briefs the media at a local hospital.POLICE SURGEON, NORMAN MCSWAIN SAYING:
"Well it is because all of us work together as a team and we mobilize our backups as necessary and get the patients taken care of. It's a team effort. The Spirit of Charity Trauma Center is a group of people who work together pre-hospital, in emergency department, in the hospital to take care of patients."
New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu asked the public for help in finding those responsible.
NEW ORLEANS MAYOR MITCH LANDRIEU SAYING:
"This is one of the kind of crazy unnatural things about what these young men are doing in the city of New Orleans and the only way to do it is for everybody to find out who they are and to stop them from doing it, and you know, as a community to basically say we are not tolerating this any more so I'm sure the police are out there, they are working really really hard. We're going to find this person, but we need the public's help."
Officers saw three suspects running away, one described as a dark-skinned male aged 18 to 22 with short hair.
As of early Monday morning, no arrests had been made.
