MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA (DECEMBER 11, 2010) AUSTRALIAN - American talk show host Oprah Winfrey on an "Ultimate Australian Adventure" dropped in for dinner at the home of one some of her Australian fans on Friday (December 10).
"I went to open the door and when I opened it there was Oprah and I'm like, oh my God, and there she is just
standing there with two enormous bottle of tequila, which were polished off very quickly and I'm feeling it today," said Megan Castran, an Oprah fan who lives in Melbourne.Castran had met Oprah in Hawaii in 2006 when she was an audience member on one of her shows. Castran gave Oprah her business card and invited her to her house if she ever came to Australia.
On Friday, about 20 people had gathered at Castran's house for a "taco night" to celebrate her birthday when Oprah turned up.
"Someone came to take my plate away, she goes, 'no, I'll take that one thanks' and she took my last taco. So it was so funny, she's just real and she's relaxed and beautiful and amazing energy," said Castran.
"You know on Oprah they say there is certain life moments and they say there is maybe ten in your life. Well that was one of them for sure," she added.
