R Reports - He is already a hero to the world's downtrodden ... and at least one pop artist thinks he's more than that.
Move over Superman, it's time for Superpope!
This large street mural appeared on a building near the Vatican ... and passersby unanimously approve.Lebanese priest Ziad Haddad:
"It's really beautiful. I don't know who did it, but you can tell that the Pope is reaching these people who not long ago would have been writing different things on the walls. Now, they're depicting him as their hero. This is beautiful."
Rome resident Daniela Di LucaBossa:
"I think he is a true super hero, because he has changed people's hearts because he is really showing us all how to live. So in this light, there isn't a better representation for him."
While Superman has fought for truth and justice, since becoming pope, Francis has vowed to eliminate corruption and help the world's poor.
Yet, unlike Clark Kent, Superman's alter ego, this caped crusader flies with his glasses on.
